  • Do you offer candle making lessons?
This is not something we currently offer.
  • Why does my candle top look dented?
It is not uncommon for soy candles to have cracks or rough tops after burning. This happens because hot wax cools at different rates. This is a good indication that you have a 100% natural soy wax candle and not a candle mixed with other waxes or additives.
  • How do I light my candle?
During the first lighting, burn the candle until the wax melts all over the surface. This will prevent tunneling and create an even burn for the life of the candle.
  • I accidentally cut my wick too short and now it won't light, what should I do?
Don't worry, it happens to the best of us! If your candle lights for a short time, just use a paper towel to soak up the melted wax and it will go back to normal. If your candle won't light at all, scrape some of the wax around the wick and try lighting it again. The wax is the fuel for the wick, and there is simply too much fuel for the candle to take hold of.
  • What happens if I don't cut the wick?
Leaving a long wick means you will have a bigger flame, which will melt more wax and give the candle more fuel. This increased amount of fuel can lead to incomplete combustion, which in turn creates more soot, making your candle container black and dirty. Your candle will also last less than our approximate burn time which was calculated by trimming the wicks.
  • My spark plug is tunnelled, what should I do?
You can cover the top of your candle with foil and cut an opening in the top about 1mm wide, or small enough for the foil to stay on top of the candle. Carefully light the candle and let it burn for a few hours. When burning is complete, the tunnel should be smaller than before. As candles have a ''wax memory'' that is why it is important that when you burn your candle (especially for the first time) to let it burn until the wax melts all over the surface. This will prevent tunneling and create an even burn for the life of the candle.
  • General Safety
To avoid fire and serious injury: Burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
  • Can I burn my decorative candle?
Our decorative candles are designed for decorative use. However, if you choose to light them, the burn time may vary due to the irregular shapes and sizes of our designs.
  • How does a decorative candle burn?
Decorative candles are the complete opposite of jar candles. As the decorative candle burns, it becomes the container itself, the flame is believed to burn deeper.
  • Is it normal for my decorative candle to have wax drops?
Yes, wax dripping is completely normal and to be expected with decorative candles. Once the wax has cooled, you can simply remove the excess wax from your tray or candle holder.
  • I accidentally cut my cotton wick too short and now it won't light up, what should I do?
If your candle lights for a short time, just use a paper towel to soak up the melted wax and it will be back to normal. If your candle won't light at all, scrape some of the wax around the wick and try lighting it again. The wax is the fuel for the wick, and there is simply too much fuel for the candle to take hold of.
  • Is it normal for my decorative candle to have some imperfections?
As our sculptural candles are handmade and hand poured, slight imperfections and color variations may occur naturally. They may also have small white marks called "frosting."
  • What is "icing"?
Sometimes spark plugs can develop frost. This is a natural phenomenon with soy wax and especially with colored candles. It appears because the wax is trying to return to its natural shape and as a result it begins to crystallize. Please note that this does not affect the performance of the candle in any way.
  • Do you sell candle moulds?
We are NOT mold suppliers and do not sell molds.
  • General Safety
